Be careful with rebate offers

Many sites have been promoting huge deals and even more savings with special promo codes over the past week and will continue with these sales through New Years. Many of them are promoting cash back mail-in rebates alongside them such as the popular KitchenAid 5-qt. Stand Mixer with a $50 mail-in rebate or the Norelco SensoTouch 1160X Rotary Razor with a $30 mail-in rebate. Be careful with rebate offers and be aware that the majority of these rebates state “not be combined with other offers.” This means that if you purchase a product using a coupon or promo code then cut out the UPC label on the package and mail in with the original receipt (which you will not get back), you will then get a letter declining your rebate due to the fact that you used a promotional discount code to purchase and now you cannot return the item because you no longer have the receipt and there is a hole cut out of your package. Make sure you read the fine print in these rebates before you make your purchase.
